 Technical
inspections and environmental monitoring
Akvaplan-niva offers routine technical inspections and environmental
monitoring of fish farms in Norway and abroad since the 1980's.
In Norway, such inspections are obligatory and carried out according to
the NYTEK-regulations and the law on aquaculture. Our customers are
situated mainly in North Norway, and comprise both small companies with
few productions sites, and large companies with more than 30. No
company is too big nor too small. Our products are adapted to suit all
clients.
Abroad, inspections are carried out according to local regulations or a
program developed in cooperation with the client based on best available
practice.
Akvaplan-niva is actively involved in in the development of new standards
for technical and environmental assessments, both in Norway and the
European Union. Here we contribute with useful practical experience
gained from aquaculture inspections carried out during the last 20 years
and with solid research done by our aquaculture and environmental
scientists.
