Pre-feasibility studies and business plans

After the first positive evaluation and screening studies, the client will have selected one or several project alternatives for which pre-feasibility studies, and possible business plans are to be developed.

This project phase will provide

  • evaluation and selection of the best site(s)

  • assessment of fish species and market potential

  • selection of technology and production concepts

  • conceptual plan and technical solutions (lay-out),

  • production estimates for the selected sites and species

  • information on potential bottlenecks, risks, and production limiting factors

  • investment and productions estimates, draft budgets and estimates of project profitability

  • documentation needed for licence and permit applications

  • documentation needed for loan applications

  • prospectus for potential investors

 

Based on this information the client may decide to develop a business plan which will contain more details on:

  • Layout drawings of the proposed production facilities

  • Investment and productions budgets

    Market plans

    Profitability analyses with focus on risks and break-even points (production quanta's and prices)

  • Investor profiles

  • Competence and skill requirements in the project

  • Identification of possible partners

  • Environmental Impact (EIA) and risk assessments (ERA), according to need
